The Surf City Deli & Bakery Story

In Spring of 2007 Chris Sullivan was in a jam. He needed a new endeavour. That's when the young lad noticed the one thing Surf City, NC was lacking; a donut shop! There was one problem; he had no idea how to make the beloved yeast treats! After scouring many recipes, he had created one to call his own. A few months later; Surf City Donuts was born! The Summer was busy with loads of vacationers, but on Labor Day the business died down. Winter was slow, and the delapidated building was on her last leg. So Chris and his posse of donut wizards went in search of a permanent home. The home came with a price and 6 month waiting period, but on April 8, 2008 Surf City Deli & Bakery opened. The now deli + bakery still specializes in donuts, and are catering to the Hampstead and surrounding townspeople.
